Sr. Doris provides spiritual direction and relaxation technique at Bethany. She prepared for spiritual direction at Washington Theological Union and Lebh Shomea House of Prayer in Sarita, TX. Sr. Doris spent her sabbatical year living the semi-eremitic contemplative life. She received a Certificate of Studies in the Theology of Spirituality. Sr. Doris also serves as bookkeeper for Convent of Jesus and Mary of Highland Mills, NY, Inc.
Richard C. Green
Richard has been director of Bethany since September 2005. After earning an M. Div. from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook, PA, Richard served for more than twenty-three years in church ministry in the archdiocese of Philadelphia. More recently, he was director of Mothers’ Home, a nonprofit organization that provides temporary shelter and support services to low-income pregnant women and their babies in Darby, PA.
Sr. Maria Stella Herrera, RJM
Sr. Stella was born and raised in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. She has served in the educational apostolate to the poor, ministry to farm worker, and service as coordinator of Hispanic Ministry at parish and diocesan levels. She recently organized a collaborative effort to service the newly arrived Hispanic immigrants in Orange County, NY. Sr. Stella has an MA and APD from Fordham University and has training in Ignatian Spirituality. She offers workshops, prayer evenings, retreat days, and spiritual direction in Spanish and English.

Sr. Rosemary has thirty years of experience in retreat ministry and spiritual direction as well as teaching experience in Education for Parish Service. She has served many years in formation
and leadership for RJM at Provincial and General levels. Sr. Rosemary will join the Bethany staff in late Spring 2008.

Sr. Catherine McIntyre, RJM
Sr. Catherine is retreat program director at Bethany and has lived here since 1991. For many years, she taught spirituality in a variety of places including Fordham University, Seattle University, and the Archdiocese of New York. She also served for three years as Director of the Graduate Program in Religious and Pastoral Studies at the University of Dallas. Since coming to Bethany, Sr. Catherine has taught in the Intercommunity Novitiate of the Sister Formation Conference. While she enjoys offering an occasional course at Bethany, her ministry now centers on spiritual direction and retreat work.
Sr. Teresita Morse, RJM
Sr. Teresita is the Facilities Manager responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds in excellent condition. She is also a spiritual director with a Masters in Applied Spirituality from the University of San Francisco and many years of experience in retreat work and spiritual guidance and direction. Sr. Teresita’s full time ministry is: Director of Formation of Catechetical Leaders, Catechetical Office, Archdiocese of New York.
Sr. Patricia Reid, OSF
A member of the Franciscan community, Sr. Pat has returned to the site of her alma mater- Academy of Jesus and Mary- after many years of ministry and service to the poor in Brazil and South Bronx. Besides being a registered nurse, she is also an experienced spiritual director and novice/formation director. She has studied Ignatian spirituality at Guelph, Ontario, and Franciscan retreat methods in Toronto. Sr. Pat is fluent in Portuguese.
